Today is fried chicken and “komatsuna day”.  Today’s salad, the komatsuna sesame salad, was excellent.  I love the flavor of the dressing and the texture is also perfect.  I like the sweetness of the sesame dressing a lot.  The nameko mushroom soup was very tasty and had a nice earthy and salty flavor.  I usually don’t like the sliminess of nameko, but it was toned back today which was nice.  Today’s main event was the Korean-style fried chicken and it was a masterpiece.  Often the specially flavored fried chicken is always good, but today was seriously almost perfect.  The only way it could have been better is if I had gotten mine moments after it came out of the fryer!  The light spiciness and a nice sweetness mixed with a quality garlic and onion base is so yummy.  The sauce on the outside took away some of the crispiness, but it still retained most of its crunchy texture and was excellent.  A truly delicious kyuushoku today. Gochisousamadeshita!
