Happy New Year! It’s the year of the tiger and today is the first day at school with school lunch and the start of the 3rd semester. Hayashi rice and seaweed salad with a mikan jelly dessert. Can’t ask for a more solid start than that! The salad was slippery and crunchy, with a nice tangy and slightly sweet flavor from the dressing and natural seaweed flavor. The hayashi rice was very tasty! The tomato flavor was nice and the vegetables were hot and delicious. In particular the mushrooms and green peas were delicious and added nice texture. The mikan jelly was a nice little treat afterwards and refreshed my mouth quite nicely. Lovely meal and now I am full and ready for the rest of the day, no, the rest of the semester!
